Wow what a night at the Property Management Awards

The big day finally arrived for the News on the Block Property Management Awards. This year it was at the Troxy building in east London. We’d heard the building itself was quite something, and indeed it was. The perfect setting for a great evening for the property management industry to celebrate 2012 in style

What we love about these evenings is that they’re a rare chance to chat to people who work in the same industry in a relaxed and happy environment. We can catch up on their news and share what we’ve been up to without having to break off for a meeting or to take a call.

Wow what a night at the Property Management Awards

When it came to the awards, the ceremony compere was the comedian Dominic Holland who certainly made guests laugh and proved to be very popular indeed.

Our moment came this year with the Surveyor of the Year Award. Rupert Mackay was able to present it to the winner. The finalists in the category were:

Easton Bevins, Earl Kendrick Associates, JJ Homes, McQuade Property Consultancy, Trust Property Management, Harris Associates

And while we didn’t have a say in who was the eventual winner (that was the job of an independent judging panel) the accolade went to:

Harris Associates

With Highly Commended to:

Earl Kendrick Associates and Trust Property Management

A few other companies we have strong links with that we’d like to mention are:

Parkgate who were Highly Commended in the Major Works Project of the Year category,

Stiles Harold Williams who were Highly Commended in the Property Management Company of the Year Category,

Crabtree Property Management who were Highly Commended in the London Property Manager of the Year award (not to mention several others)

Trust Property Management who, as well as being Highly Commended in the Surveyor of the Year category, were finalists in the London Property Management Company of the Year award, the London Property Manager of the Year award, the Young Property Manager of the Year award as well as several other categories.

For details of all the winners have a look here. The winners and the finalists have all done extraordinarily well to have had their work recognised in this way and it really was a great way to celebrate the property management industry.

Sponsoring, and then presenting the award was lovely. Next year we hope to be back, but on the other side of the fence as it were as we are planning to enter the category of Service Provider of the year.

So with the awards awarded and the speeches made everyone was able to let their hair down dancing to a live band. All the way to the early hours in fact, making us among the last to leave!
