About the Role:
- Salary: £48,000 – £52,000
- Hours: 8am – 5pm
- Vehicle provided
- Out of hours call handling: On a rota basis (currently 1 week in 4)

Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing expert-level technical guidance on HVAC systems, plant room equipment, and building services to engineers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Leading complex fault-finding, root cause analysis, and resolution processes to drive first-time fixes and system optimisation.
- Supporting small works design, specifications, and delivery with a focus on technical accuracy, compliance, and performance outcomes.
- Collaborating with project and operations teams to develop technically sound scopes of work, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulations.
- Conducting detailed site audits and technical performance assessments, producing clear reports with recommendations and technical risk assessments.
- Ensuring all engineering activities adhere to health & safety legislation, technical regulations, and industry standards (e.g. SFG20, Building Safety Act).
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation, asset registers, and digital schematics to ensure engineering knowledge is current and accessible.
- Supporting technical training, toolbox talks, and mentorship to elevate the capability of the engineering and operations teams.
- Acting as subject matter expert in client meetings, presenting technical insights, energy efficiency upgrades, and plant lifecycle advice.
- Reviewing and approving contractor technical submissions, ensuring quality of workmanship and system integrity.
- Contributing to innovation and continuous improvement by identifying and integrating new technologies or methodologies that enhance service delivery.
- Participating in the out-of-hours technical support rota and acting as escalation point for high-priority technical issues.
- Supporting the integration of technical systems and platforms (e.g. CAFM, IoT monitoring, energy management software) to enhance service intelligence.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who has:
Qualifications:
- Level 3 trade qualification in at least one discipline (minimum).
Experience:

Contract management: 1 year (preferred)
- Health & Safety: 3 years (preferred)
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, plant room equipment, and building services
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience overseeing contractual commitments and service quality.
- Proficiency in estimating software programmes and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Level 3 (minimum) trade qualification in at least one M&E discipline
